In 1944, at the age of 14, Ernest Deschênes started in the well drilling business when he purchased a Bucyrus Erie 22W cable tool rig. The young Deschênes hired Mr. Wilfrid Labelle, a well driller with 43 years of experience. M. Labelle worked with the young Deschênes and let him profit from his experience as a well driller.

Today, Ernest Deschênes and his son Gilles are the proud owners of Deschênes Drilling Limited.

Situated in St-Quentin in New Brunswick, Canada, the company is very involved in the drilling industry in Eastern Canada.

The company is also involved in the reconditioning of Well Drilling Rigs for resale in Eastern Canada and abroad.
